Contains a letter from Prescott's daughter briefly outlining her father's areas of combat. Also includes photocopies of Vernon, both in uniform and with a tank. Contains a photograph of the Remagen Bridge on the Rhine, intact, as captured by the 9th Division. Also has a newspaper article entitled "Kamas Family Gives Live Impetus to War Effort for Two Generations," which highlights the military service of Vernon and his brothers, Ted, Carl, and Bill Prescott.

Prescott served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1941-1945. While in Europe, he participated in both the Battle of the Bulge and the securing of Remagen Bridge.
